MLD / MLC product training 17-Jul-2013
-
Content:
The Multiple Light Beam Safety Devices of the MLD series and the Safety Light Curtains of the MLC series are used in danger zone, point of operation, and access guarding. The designs here range from simple Safety Light Curtains or Multiple Light Beam Safety Devices without options to devices with the muting or blanking function packages.
The training course is oriented towards commissioning engineers, operators and maintenance staff and includes a presentation of the device families and function packages as well as configuration and wiring of the devices. Safety-related requirements – primarily for applications from the areas of muting and blanking – are considered against the background of the currently valid standards.

Safe design of machines through the use of software 21-Aug-2013
-
Content:
Machinery directive 2006/42/EC requires the integration of safety in the design process for machines. The identification of injury risks and the correct documentation of the measures is a basic component of the conformity procedures in accordance with machinery directive 2006/42/EC.
Safexpert is a PC program for the systematic safety engineering of machines and systems.
The software supports the design engineer with risk assessment, in locating relevant standards, with the creation of the technical documentation, and ultimately guides him or her to the standards-compliant EC Declaration of Conformity. This short course (1/2 day) provides you with information on how you can use the Safexpert software to help ensure that you obtain the CE mark.

Safe design of machines – use of control-related components 06-Jun-2013
-
Content:
Machinery directive 2006/42/EC requires the integration of safety in the design process for machines. Presented in this seminar are what standards the design engineer must observe when using control-related components and what boundary conditions are to be observed.
Control-related components must satisfy the requirements stipulated by the standards, both electrically (Performance Level) as well as through their correct integration in the machine (safety distance, correct selection of protective devices,…).
What exactly is to be observed when using contactless protective devices (safety scanners, light barriers, …) as well as when safeguarding with movable guards (protective doors, swing flaps,…) is covered in various standards. These requirements are explained to the participant using practical examples; the changes in the world of standards are also pointed out.

Safe operation of machines 14-Nov-2013
-
Content:
The Betriebssicherheitsverordnung (Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health, BetrSichV) regulates various parts of labor protection in the commercial sector. It defines requirements for work equipment as well as the respective tests.
Many questions that arise in practice while operating machinery are handled inadequately or are regulated in a wide variety of documents.
This seminar will use practical examples to help the participants identify everyday problems and find solutions. For example, topics such as conversion projects on machines, liability issues when undertaking manipulations or the requirements for proper documentation in accordance with the BetrSichV (Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health) are covered.
Identify everyday problems when operating machinery, find optimum solutions.
Conversion of old machines: what is a significant change? Risk evaluation in accordance with the BetrSichV (Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health).
Testing protective devices: What must the machine manufacturer and what must the operating company observe?
EU-compliant documentation in accordance with the new machinery directive (2006/42/EC) and standards.
Documentation in accordance with the Betriebssicherheitsverordnung (Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health), perspectives for companies that operate machines and systems. -
