When Leuze electronic introduced the world's first laser barcode positioning system BPS years ago, the market was excited by the new possibilities opened by these systems. Precise position determination independent of reference points facilitates the detection of absolute position in every situation. With resolution down to the hundredth of a millimeter, our currently 15,000 installed BPS devices provide detailed information from more than 700 kilometers of laid barcode tape. In practical use, the laser-based devices perform dependably under a wide range of environmental conditions and also offer high dynamics and reading reliability through industry-tested laser technology.
