With the new LRS 36 and LPS 36 light-section sensors, Leuze electronic has realized sensors for economical object detection over long measurement ranges from 200 to 800 mm. The transmitters and receivers are contained in an easy-to-install unit with very compact housing design.

Line range sensors (LRS) detect the presence of objects through scanning, similar to light barriers or laser scanners. By comparison, line profile sensors (LPS) measure the dimensions or position of static or moving objects.

Where previously complex sensor solutions, sensor combinations or additional evaluation units were necessary, the new LRS 36 and LPS 36 light-section sensors from Leuze electronic, with their 800 mm measurement range, open new fields of application.
