Safety Relay with AND-function

 

Compact relay for interconnecting several safety sensors.

If, as is often necessary, several safety components are to act on a single switch-off circuit using a logical "AND" link, they can easily be connected to the new MSI-SR5 Safety Relay.

Thus, using just one relay, the combined application of a Safety Light Curtain for point of operation guarding and a protective door for access guarding can be realized up to Performance Level PLe acc. to EN ISO 13849-1.

It is also possible to connect two Light Beam Safety Devices or combine a Safety Light Curtain with a protective door and several E-STOP buttons.

For the user, this leads to a number of advantages with respect to price, compactness and minimum installation cost. The device is characterized by a very short response time of only 10 ms. Additional functions such as the start/restart interlock and contactor monitoring round out the performance.
