Safety Light Curtains and Multiple Light Beam Safety Devices

COMPACT Safety Light Curtains and Multiple Light Beam Safety Devices are active optoelectronic protective devices (AOPD) type 4 according to EN 61496-1, -2 and/or IEC 61496-1, -2.

The system consists of a transmitter and a receiver, and is obtainable as a light curtain with 14 mm and 30 mm resolution or as a Multiple Light Beam Safety Devices with 50 mm and 90 mm resolution. The design may include either two, three or four beams. Its range of functions is flexible and can be extended at will by the use of external interface modules of the MSI series.

The well established COMPACT Safety Light Curtain is now available as the COMPACT EX 1, which is suitable for use in areas where there is risk of explosion either in zone 2 (gas) or zone 21 (dust) or as the COMPACT EX 2, which is suitable for use in areas where there is risk of explosion either in zone 2 (gas) or zone 22 (dust).
