COMPACTplus/PROFIsafe Receivers have an integrated PROFIsafe Interface, i.e. all components for safe connection to PROFIBUS DP are contained in the device; a separate connection unit is therefore not required. The connection to PROFIBUS is made via cable tails with M12 connection technology. As PROFIBUS must be looped through the device because of the high 12 MBd data rate, a PROFIBUS input cable and a PROFIBUS output cable and a 24 V power supply cable are required per unit.
Addressing and bus termination:
The bus termination can be switched on in the connection cap via a slide switch. The switched on green LED on the front of the cap displays the activated bus termination.
