MSI-SR3
Function
|
|
- Single-channel Emergency Stop wiring with manual start
If the Emergency Stop button in not pressed, the relays K1 and K2 pick up and lock when the start button is pressed. When the Emergency Stop button is pressed, K1 and K2 go dead and drop out. With single-channel Emergency Stop wiring, Category 2 in accordance with EN 954-1 is attained. Earth faults in the push-button circuit are detected.
- Two-channel Emergency Stop wiring with manual start
With two-channel Emergency Stop wiring, Category 4 in accordance with EN-954-1 is attained. Cross circuits between the push-button contacts and earth faults in the push-button circuit are detected.
- Sliding safety grid monitoring with 2 positively opening position switches
If the safety door is closed (position switches S1 and S2 closed) the relays K1 and K2 pick up and lock. When the safety grid is opened, the relays K1 and K2 go dead and drop out. The MSI-SR3 remains in this state until the safety grid is closed again.
- Safety interface for optoelectronic protective devices, Type 4
It is possible to connect safety light barriers, Type 4, with either relay outputs or with failsafe semiconductor outputs and integrated cross circuit monitoring. The MSI-SR3’s regression delay of 20 ms must be taken into account when calculating the safety distance.
- Monitoring of a four-wire switching mat with manual start
If the switching mat is not actuated, the relays K1 and K2 pick up and lock when the start button is pressed. When the switching mat is actuated, K1 and K2 go dead and drop out.
- Monitoring of a two-wire switching mat/switching strip with manual start
A two-wire switching mat or switching strip can be connected between S21 and S11. The function is identical to the sequence described above. Wiring with two-wire switching mats is suitable only for Category 1 applications in accordance with EN 954-1.
