Successor Devices

as replacement for AREAL Multiple Light Beam Safety Devices with integrated muting, which is no more available since end of 2005, below mentioned devices of the COMPACTplus series are available as from now. They have a connection cable 0.3 m long with a connected HARTING plug with a signal layout as known from AREAL. In addition, the receivers are pre-parameterized in the factory to be as near as technically possible to the AREAL receivers AMR. Unfortunately small deviations from the AREAL settings are inevitable; they are listed in enclosed data sheet. Of course, COMPACTplus receivers work only together with COMPACTplus transmitters, but not with existing AREAL transmitters, e.g. they have to be exchanged both.

In additon to the AREAL range, a muting transceiver CPRT-m has been defined. Together with the deflection mirror CPM500/2V it is more cost effective than transmitter and receiver. In that case the AREAL transmitter connector cable remains unused.

Optionally customers can make further changes with SafetyLab to solve application problems better than in the past with AREAL (for example increasing the multiscan factor of the protective field in heavily disturbed environments).
