In conjunction with an active or passive deflecting mirror, the Multiple Light Beam Safety Device constitutes a single functional unit.
A test/monitoring unit, or a safety relay component incorporating a testing facility, may be separately installed. This will then carry out cyclic testing of the system by means of a test/activation input at the transmitter terminal strip and the PNP transistor output of the receiver terminal strip.
