Frequently Asked Questions
|
|
The transmitter receiver LEDs do not light up.
- Check the supply voltage at terminal 1 (+24V) and terminal 2 (0V).
|
The receiver LED is lit up red and the transmitter LEDs are lit up yellow.
- Check the alignment.
- Check the range between the transmitter and receiver and/or deflecting mirror.
- If deflecting mirror columns are being used, please note that there is a decrease in range of approx. 10% per deflection.
- Is the green LED on the receiver module flashing (weak light reception)?
If so:
- Check the alignment.
- Check whether the "red front windows" on the deflecting mirrors are steamed up (due to quick changes in temperature) or dirty.
- If a PM 2V or PM 4V deflecting mirror is being used, make sure that the transmitted beam strikes the V mirror.
- Check whether the mirrors in PM 2 and/or PM 4 are mechanically defective (due to possible transport damage).
- If AMI 42 are being used, it must be ensured that its transmitter and/or receiver optics are active.
- receiver module: LED yellow = on with UB (LED is lit up faintly or strongly in dependence from the sensitivity to light)
- transmitter module: LED yellow = transmitter aktiv
|
The receiver switches off sporadically.
- Check to see whether different AOPDs are mutually disturbing each other's operation (e.g. by being placed one behind the other).
- Check for interference from outside light.
|
The yellow LED on the receiver is flashing.
- The Multiple Light Beam Safety Device is signaling a system error.
- Call the Leuze lumiflex hotline.
|
The Robust Multiple Light Beam Safety Device is active (the green LED on RR is lit up) but not enabled.
- Check the wiring between the AOPD and the interface (see user manual).
