User-software RS4soft

So that the device can be quickly and optimally adapted to the requirements of the individual customer, communications software is included as part of the standard delivery. This software can run on Windows 95/98/NT/2000, and it is logically structured and easy to manage, so that the customer can quickly become familiar with it.

The software can be broken down into four main menu headings:

Display of the measurement areas
Selection and representation of areas currently being measured, as well as protective and alarm fields as required.

RS4 Configuration
Configuration of scanner-specific settings, such as start-up procedure, response time, switching of protective fields and alarm fields, interface parameters, suppression of dust, etc.

Definition of the protective fields and warning fields
Selection, creation and modification of protective fields and warning fields can be carried out by entering the coordinates or by drawing the contours of the fields with the mouse.

RS4 system data
Display of system and service information.
There are also many intelligent solutions on the level of detail, which will support the user in the interest of finding the best possible setting of the ROTOSCAN RS4-4 for the application that is to be secured.

System requirements

RS4soft is easy to run by use of standard hardware:
  • IntelTM-Prozessor Pentium class or better (or compatible models such as AMDTM or CyrixTM)

  • at least 16 MB RAM

  • 3 1/2“ floppy

  • harddisk with at least 8 MB of free memory
    when saving configuration or contour data, more space may be required

  • mouse, colour monitor

  • free RS232 serial interface, or alternative RS422 interface

  • Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows NT
