Stand out from the Crowd – Join ‘the sensor people’.

Regional Account Manager – North East

Leuze electronic Ltd is committed to being "the sensor people” of choice by providing not just industry leading products, but also the best customer service and support. Our innovative product range includes optical sensors for reliable detection, barcode, 2D code & RFID readers, smart cameras & vision systems for reliable identification, and the extensive machine safety range provides reliable protection.

We are a German family owned company with over two hundred years history, well known across Europe and the World as a leading manufacturer – For example within the food industry and packing sectors we dominate sensing for bottle filling and label application, we are a major player in material handling and warehouse systems and supply machine builders in numerous industries.

Whilst our product range is very broad, and our quality and technology well respected, a confusing and diverting history in the UK over the past ten years has led to us having a much smaller market share than our sister companies across Europe. At the end of 2008 we divorced our previous joint venture partner, ended agency agreements that saw us selling other peoples products, and heavily refreshed and invested in the UK team, especially the sales team. For example every employee in the company has completed or is about to complete either an NVQ level 2 or level 3 training programme in customer service, sales, business improvement or technical support.

Our declared aim is to be the supplier of choice by providing the best service and therefore, we provide technical support and training from our new office in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. To provide the best service, we hold a stock of parts likely to be needed quickly by customers as spares for their machines, whilst orders, for example for OEM’s or distributors are despatched directly from Germany rather than transhipping them though the UK office, which would add delay and increase cost.

Now a much more dynamic company, 100% focused upon Leuze electronic’s products, our sales and market share grew considerably in 2009 despite the decline in the manufacturing and 2010 show record breaking months.

Things are looking positive as the UK market becomes more familiar with Leuze electronic, but to achieve our goals we require the best salesmen in the industry.

To support our ongoing expansion a position has been created to develop the North East. Aggressive sales and growth targets means that these roles will suit results oriented professionals with a passion for achieving targets and an intolerance of under-performance. A clear and demonstrable track record of significant success in account management but more importantly structured new business generation and development is required to ensure brand-leadership across the region.

Supporting, motivating, managing and accelerating sales growth with Leuze electronic’s system integration or distribution partners is a key component of the role, as is the ability to develop and deliver clear and compelling sales strategies.

Strong organisational, structured thinking and problem solving skills are essential in a Leuze team-player. A track record of building strong relationships and networks will complement the need to influence people, across all levels within Leuze electronic, and its external stakeholders.
