My name is Barbara Grupp and I have been with the Sensor People at Leuze for eight months now. I completed a bachelor’s degree in medical engineering at the Universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen with a focus on optics, and a master's degree in medical engineering at the University of Stuttgart with a focus on optics and microsystems technology.

I first learned about Leuze when I saw their interesting job postings during my bachelor thesis at the Institute of Technical Optics. After finishing my master's degree, I specifically looked for job openings that suited me and found one.

Now I work in the field of optics development. My tasks are varied and include the development of new products, adaptation of existing products for customer-specific requirements, modification of components, manufacturing support, etc. My daily activities include laboratory examinations, simulations, research and other development activities in the context of projects.

In my first few weeks at Leuze, I got an overview of the various departments, the products and the structures in the company. My immediate co-workers and colleagues from other departments were always there to help and advise me and always had an open ear, so I was able to integrate quickly. I definitely feel like I am part of the team, everyone is very helpful, we are almost like a family and my job is very varied and includes many different tasks.

As a career starter this is a good place to get going. You can quickly network with others, even internationally. Due to the flat hierarchy at the company, career starters have the opportunity to get involved in many different topics and tasks in a short time and to take on responsibility – I really like that here!

> Yücel Tekinsoy, product manager for binary switching sensors

My name is Yücel Tekinsoy and I have completed both my Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and my Master's degree in Industrial Management at Aalen University.

After that I really wanted to work in product management. During my studies I worked for several companies and got to know different departments, including sales, purchasing and production planning. What I found was that I liked product management the most and that this field really suits my skills and interests.

I have always been fascinated by automation technology too! And that is how Leuze and their sensor systems became a topic – for me it was the perfect fit from the start!

After graduating I joined the company as a product manager in the field of binary switching sensors. Right now I am responsible for a series from optoelectronics and our ultrasonic sensors. I am the active interface between the development departments, the market and national/international sales. What we work on mainly is defining product requirements and creating specifications and product roadmaps.

The first few weeks at Leuze went very smooth with a structured introduction period. At the beginning, I worked in various departments, including manufacturing, to get to know the products and colleagues better.

By now I have worked at Leuze for five years. I really enjoy the friendships and family-like atmosphere at the company! My tasks as a product manager are particularly enjoyable, because no two days are alike and you always learn something new.

I think Leuze is a good company for career starters because you are given responsibility and creative freedom right from the start. That was not the case when I worked at other companies as a student. New career opportunities are constantly opening up due to the company’s growth, also with regard to expanding the scope of responsibility in one's own area of expertise.

And the fact that Leuze is an international company is also great, of course! I am frequently in touch with our subsidiaries in order to identify international product requirements and analyze the local markets.

Now I work in the field of optics development. My tasks are varied and include the development of new products, adaptation of existing products for customer-specific requirements, modification of components, manufacturing support, etc. My daily activities include laboratory examinations, simulations, research and other development activities in the context of projects.

In my first few weeks at Leuze, I got an overview of the various departments, the products and the structures in the company. After graduating I joined the company as a product manager in the field of binary switching sensors. Right now I am responsible for a series from optoelectronics and our ultrasonic sensors. I am the active interface between the development departments, the market and national/international sales. What we work on mainly is defining product requirements and creating specifications and product roadmaps.

The first few weeks at Leuze went very smooth with a structured introduction period. At the beginning, I worked in various departments, including manufacturing, to get to know the products and colleagues better.

By now I have worked at Leuze for five years. I really enjoy the friendships and family-like atmosphere at the company! My tasks as a product manager are particularly enjoyable, because no two days are alike and you always learn something new.

What we work on mainly is defining product requirements and creating specifications and product roadmaps.

The first few weeks at Leuze went very smooth with a structured introduction period. At the beginning, I worked in various departments, including manufacturing, to get to know the products and colleagues better.

What we work on mainly is defining product requirements and creating specifications and product roadmaps.

The first few weeks at Leuze went very smooth with a structured introduction period. At the beginning, I worked in various departments, including manufacturing, to get to know the products and colleagues better.

By now I have worked at Leuze for five years. I really enjoy the friendships and family-like atmosphere at the company! My tasks as a product manager are particularly enjoyable, because no two days are alike and you always learn something new.

I completed a bachelor’s degree in medical engineering at the Universities of Stuttgart and Tübingen with a focus on optics, and a master's degree in medical engineering at the University of Stuttgart with a focus on optics and microsystems technology.

Now I work in the field of optics development. My tasks are varied and include the development of new products, adaptation of existing products for customer-specific requirements, modification of components, manufacturing support, etc. My daily activities include laboratory examinations, simulations, research and other development activities in the context of projects.

In my first few weeks at Leuze, I got an overview of the various departments, the products and the structures in the company. I have always been fascinated by automation technology too! And that is how Leuze and their sensor systems became a topic – for me it was the perfect fit from the start!

After graduating I joined the company as a product manager in the field of binary switching sensors. Right now I am responsible for a series from optoelectronics and our ultrasonic sensors. I am the active interface between the development departments, the market and national/international sales. What we work on mainly is defining product requirements and creating specifications and product roadmaps.

The first few weeks at Leuze went very smooth with a structured introduction period. At the beginning, I worked in various departments, including manufacturing, to get to know the products and colleagues better.

By now I have worked at Leuze for five years. I really enjoy the friendships and family-like atmosphere at the company! My tasks as a product manager are particularly enjoyable, because no two days are alike and you always learn something new.

I think Leuze is a good company for career starters because you are given responsibility and creative freedom right from the start.
