Film is the world's
number one packaging material.

Food, household products and textiles are just part of the range of products that are packed with flexible film. The range of film packaging, which can be highly transparent, opaque, printed or coated, is just as extensive as the number of products to be packaged. This results in hundreds of thousands of possible combinations of product and film packaging and coordinated packaging processes.

The conversion complexity involved in changing a product or packaging material is significantly reduced or even eliminated with our solutions. We therefore help you to confront this variety of combinations easily and reliably.

Regardless of the packaging process, there are some typical applications:

Print mark detection
with KRT 18B contrast sensor
Product identification in film packaging
with LS 25B throughbeam photoelectric sensor
  • Exact detection of the print marks for precise cut marks
  • Maximum precision due to high switching frequency and minimal jitter
  • High protection classes to IP67/69K for best possible availability
  • Small constructions for simple integration into the machine design
  • Radiation through nontransparent film due to high function reserve
  • Optimum sensitivity adjustment due to configuration option on transmitter and receiver
  • Positioning in front of packaging or content check after the packaging process

Splice detection
with GSU 14D forked sensor
In-line content check
with capacitive sensors
  • Reliable detection of splice in the material
  • Irrespective of material, color and surface
  • Online quality assurance in the machine – Intended or unintended splice in the end product can be reliably discharged
  • Scanning in the medium or through nonmetallic walls
  • Special hygienic designs for preventing contamination and enabling simple cleaning
  • I 4.0-ready thanks to sensors with IO-Link interface
