With the MSI-TRM safety monitoring device, the SLS 46C protective sensors become type 4 sensors.
The new SLS 46C is our response to the change in safety standards IEC61496-1 and EN61496-1 which downgrade the Performance Level from PL d to PL c for Type 2 sensors. This is because adapted standards IEC 61496-1 and EN 614961-1 downgrade the Performance Level from PL d to PL c for type 2 sensors.
This has noticeable effects for you. Because if, according to your risk assessment, a PL d Performance Level is necessary, safeguarding with type 2 sensors is no longer possible. Type 4 sensors must now be used for this purpose!
Our new SLS 46C protective sensor is the solution to this.
In interoperation with the MSI-TRM safety monitoring device, these photoelectric sensors become type 4 sensors with PL e Performance Level. This way you are on the safe side!
