Transfer car positioning

In the corrugated cardboard industry, several transfer cars moving independently on one rail must be positioned. Since both transfer cars are located on one rail, the corresponding laser rangefinders are aligned in the same direction on the respective reflectors. The parallel spacing of the two lasers only amounts to a distance of approx. 770 mm. Nevertheless, the lasers cannot interfere with each other within a distance of 200 m.

The AMS 304i optical distance measurement systems are used here. Tests have proven that the devices do not interfere with each other - even when they travel on the transfer car and the reflectors are mounted in a fixed position. This means different devices with various transmitter frequencies are not necessary.
