Bar code decoding before transport into the heating press in the tire industry
Description
Bar codes on tires must be decoded from below before they are transported into the heating press. The tire diameters are of various sizes and a relatively small bar code must be decoded in the largest possible reading field during the turning motion.
Solution
The BCL 500i bar code reader use is used here. Due to its large reading field, only one device is necessary. The worker no longer has to decode the bar code manually with a hand-held scanner as used to be the case, thereby saving time.
