From sensor to integrated system: Leuze at SPS 2026

The Sensor People at Leuze will be presenting new sensors as well as comprehensive solutions for automated and safe processes at SPS in Nuremberg.

Owen, November 6, 2026 – Modern industrial environments are increasingly evolving into complex, networked systems. They require components that can be seamlessly integrated, as well as customized automation concepts. To that end, Sensor People will be showcasing innovative solutions at the SPS in Nuremberg. From November 24 to 26, Leuze will present highlights from the world of sensor technology and workplace safety to visitors at Stand 230 in Hall 7A. These include, for example, the new camera-based code reader DCR 300i, incremental and absolute encoders, the safety control MSX 610 as well as comprehensive solutions for automated and safe processes.

Speed for intralogistics conveyor systems
One of the new products on display at the Leuze exhibition stand will be the camera-based DCR 300i code reader. It decodes 1D- and 2D-codes on containers, trays, cardboard boxes, and pallets – even at high conveyor speeds, thanks to dual-core decoding. Its compact design allows for easy integration into various system configurations and tightly spaced conveyor lines. Defined and guaranteed read field curves, along with an intuitive webConfig tool, enable quick commissioning of the sensor.

Efficiently connecting safety sensors
In the Safety section, visitors will be given an exclusive preview of the MSX 610 safety control, the base module of the new MSX 600 product family. The MSX 610 is only 27.5 millimeters wide, saving valuable switch cabinet space. With twelve safe inputs, four outputs, and eight freely configurable I/Os, it can be flexibly adapted to a variety of requirements. The new SafeMSX software helps users quickly link signals from multiple safety sensors and implement appropriate safety functions. What’s more, all of this comes with an excellent price-performance ratio.

New series in the field of measuring sensors
In the field of measuring sensors, Leuze has expanded its portfolio to include various incremental and absolute encoder versions. These rotary encoders are used, for example, in conveyor belts, robot axes, or packaging systems. Machine builders and system operators can thus implement a wide range of applications with sensor technology from a single source. Thanks to their double-bearing shafts, the encoders are particularly robust and can withstand even high axial loads or vibrations.

Insights into Automation Solutions
Where individual components alone are not sufficient, Leuze’s Automation Solutions division offers customized solutions for demanding automation tasks. The sensor manufacturer supports its customers from requirements analysis through concept development to full commissioning, resulting in a fully integrated solution comprising various sensors and software. In doing so, the Sensor People contribute their application expertise and many years of project experience. At their exhibition stand, they will showcase selected examples such as the scanGATE for identifying and measuring pallets, or the robot-assisted retrieval of items from a crate.

Reliable complete solutions
Custom automation solutions also include tailor-made safety concepts for machines and systems. Leuze addresses this need through its Safety Solutions division. The safety experts provide comprehensive consulting services, ranging from a system’s risk assessment to safety-related acceptance testing. Reliable safety sensors are also an integral part of these concepts. At SPS, Leuze is presenting an expanded safety portfolio featuring its smallest safety laser scanner, the RSL 200, the ADR 100 safety ultrasonic sensors, and the compact MSX 610 safety controller.

Save the date: Leuze press conference and specialist presentations
Once again this year, the Sensor People at Leuze are inviting members of the press to a trade press conference and a tour of their exhibition stand. The press conference will take place on Tuesday, November 24, at 5 p.m. Registration is open until November 13, 2026: corporate-communications@leuze.com

In addition, Sensor People will be participating in the SPS trade show program with four German-language technical presentations:
