Leuze will present sensor solutions for safe, automated packaging processes at interpack

Owen, March 13, 2026 – Efficient, safe packaging that doesn’t come at the cost of productivity can only be achieved with powerful sensor systems and intelligent automation. Leuze will be showcasing the solutions available to the processing and packaging industry at this year’s interpack in Düsseldorf. From May 7 to 13, 2026, the Sensor People will be demonstrating how manufacturers and operators can make their machines and production lines fit for the future (Hall 13, Stand D73).

Innovative solutions for the packaging industry
Leuze’s trade fair stand will focus on innovative solution concepts that enable safe and efficient automation using a variety of sensor technologies.
Visitors can learn how transfer stations can be completely secured even when the goods’ width or position on the pallet or the pallet’s position on the conveyor varies. This is achieved by a safety solution with dynamic format adjustment. This solution is also equipped with a 3D volume measurement system that automatically measures parcels, containers, and goods flows, providing significant added value for warehouse logistics and dispatch centers.
In Düsseldorf, the experts from Leuze will also present a safety solution for access guarding in forklift logistics, which reliably distinguishes between people and forklifts at transfer stations. Operators benefit from maximum safety during ongoing system operation – even at high capacities.

Robust and hygienic in mini format
Powerful and robust sensor systems round off the trade fair presentation, including stainless steel series in miniature housings: The sensors in a wash-down or hygienic design are ideal for detection tasks in hygiene-sensitive production and packaging processes in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. In addition, the updated GMP pharmaceutical guideline (Annex 1) imposes stricter requirements on sensor technology for the packaging of sterile medicinal products and medical devices. Leuze shows how the directive’s new requirements can be met safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulations.

The Sensor People’s solutions offer practical answers to current challenges – from flexible, secure access guarding to hygienic detection. This ensures that automated processes remain efficient and future-proof. interpack visitors will receive personalized advice for their applications at the Leuze stand.
