Optimize your procurement processes – with EDI and OCI

As a reliable partner for sensor and safety solutions, Leuze not only offers high-quality products, but also smart interfaces to integrate them into your business processes.

EDI connection

An EDI connection (electronic data interchange) can be used to exchange business documents via electronic transfer. Together with our partner retarus, we enable a direct connection between your ERP system and ours – for a seamless digital procurement process.

Your advantages

Increased efficiency

Automated data transmission reduces manual processes. This enables more efficient handling of orders, invoices and other business processes.

  • Faster turnaround: Orders, deliveries and invoices are transmitted in real time. Your advantage: Faster order processing and smoother operations
  • Cost savings: Process automation reduces errors. So our customers can save costs and increase their profitability.

Improved data quality

The direct transfer of data from system to system significantly improves data quality compared to previous manual processes. This in turn leads to an improved basis for decision-making. As the data is transferred directly from system to system, an EDI connection minimizes human error and thus reduces complaints and post-processing efforts.

Better collaboration

An EDI connection enables seamless communication between customers and suppliers. This enables better collaboration and a more effective supply chain.

Implementation

1. Requirement analysis and definition of goals

  • Determine the current order volume
  • Selection of message types by the customer and Leuze (e.g. ORDER, ORDRSP, etc.)

2. Technical preparation

  • Planning the technical implementation = customer and Leuze/ retarus

3. Data standardization and mapping

  • Definition of data formats and standards (e.g. EDIFACT, X12)

4. Testing phase

  • Joint execution of tests to ensure smooth functioning
