Subminiature sensors with an extremely compact design
The Series 20 diffuse sensors and throughbeam photoelectric sensors have been specifically developed for applications where every millimeter counts. Thanks to their ultra-compact design, they can even be integrated into tight spaces, where other sensors fail to provide a proper solution. Two housing variants offer maximum flexibility: depending on the requirements, either a front optical outlet (front sensing – flat) or side optical outlet (lateral/slim) is available. This enables the Series 20 to be well integrated into a wide variety of machine applications, with precision and without compromise.
Even when faced with high demands in terms of velocity and precision, the Series 20 delivers a reliable performance. A response time of just 0.5 ms enables even the fastest movements to be precisely detected without delay. The sensors reliably detect tiny objects too: diffuse sensors with background suppression detect components measuring as small as 0.2 mm, while throughbeam photoelectric sensors detect them starting at 1 mm. With an operating range of up to 1 m, the throughbeam photoelectric sensors also offer high detection capabilities while taking up minimal space. When it comes to diffuse sensors, reliable background suppression and a low black/white error ensure object detection that’s consistently precise.
The Series 20 ensures efficient processes the entire time the system is operated, right from commissioning. Intuitive alignment via the PinPoint LED and fixed focusing simplify installation and reduce the time required for commissioning. The status LEDs are easy to see, enabling quick status checks despite the small size and helping diagnostics to be efficient directly on the machine. The robust version in the IP67 protection class also ensures reliable operation even in demanding environmental conditions.
